Key Points to Note:

  1. At Sri Sivan Temple, Maha Sivarathri prayers start at 7.00 pm on 8 Mar 2024 and end at 7.00 am on 9 Mar 2024.
  1. Devotees already in the temple for pradosham prayers on 8 Mar 2024 must leave the temple at 5.00 pm and join a queue to enter the temple for the first kaalam
  1. On the night of Sivarathri, the most crowded time is usually between 8.30 pm and 11.30 pm. Devotees should expect to wait longer to enter the temple.
  1. Devotees taking the MRT are encouraged to alight at Paya Lebar MRT station to get to the main tent in the field opposite the temple.
  1. During peak hours, devotees coming by Sims Avenue will be required to join a queue which will go around the field in front of the neighbouring Buddhist monastery.
  1. Devotees coming by Geylang East Central will have to join a queue that will come via the Geylang East industrial estate.
  1. Only senior citizens (above 65 years old) and those physically challenged, accompanied by one (1) family member/carer, are allowed to enter the temple via the gate at the Athmalingam.
  1. Devotees are requested to cooperate with the route marshals and follow the instructions for entry into the festival grounds.
  1. There are several points at the far end of the field (opposite the temple) to leave your footwear. Devotees must remove their footwear before entering the main tent and the temple.
