Maha Sivarathiri – Sri Sivan Temple

Maha Sivarathiri dedicated to Sri Sivan is observed with night-long prayers, fasting and meditation. It falls on the 14th night of the Tamil month Masi (February–March). Devotees stay awake, offer prayers and perform abhishegam with items like milk, honey, and vilvam leaves at Sivan temples. The festival signifies overcoming darkness and ignorance through devotion, discipline and spiritual awakening. Join us at Sri Sivan Temple on 26-27 February.
